Update for Olive

Update for Olive

Hello, Olive lovers! Time for another update on our feisty girl. Warmer weather means more visitors for Tabby’s Place—and more of a workout for the front doorbell, which cautious visitors ring when they see Olive waiting impatiently at the front door, looking like she’ll charge outside given half a chance. As we have thought for some time, she probably is just curious about the visitors themselves. But who knows? And given how quickly she can move, a little caution isn’t such a bad thing.

There was just a bit of medical news for Olive over the past month. She had a urinary tract infection. Those are never pleasant, but fortunately this one was discovered very quickly when it was noticed that her urine was significantly darker than usual. We treated her with antibiotics, and the UTI has since resolved. You may remember that, because of her unusual “plumbing”, Olive can be susceptible to urinary tract infections, so it’s important for us to be vigilant with her health.

By the time this update is published, our annual Kitten Shower should be just a day away. We know how Olive loves to greet visitors—but we’re not sure how to break the news that the people showing up that day aren’t there for her benefit! We can be certain that at least one person who is not familiar with Tabby’s Place will assume that Olive is a kitten, which we can understand given her petite size. And we know Olive will demonstrate that a big personality can be contained within a small feline.

We’d love to see Olive find her “forever” home; maybe someone who shows up for the kittens will have a change of heart? As always, thanks to you for your generosity in helping us keep our little girl content and comfortable.
