Greetings, Olive Fans!

Here’s the latest update on our feisty girl.

There is not much news on the social front for Olive this month, other than the fact that she continues to share space with Hips (see photo!).  But there is something different on the medical side, something that we hope will help our little lobby greeter.

Olive has been started on a medication new to her for joint/nerve pain or unease (several other cats at Tabby’s Place have also been started on this, as well). The medication is often used for arthritis, but that’s not why we’re trying it on Olive. Because of her condition, she has some significant muscle wasting in her hind legs and could be experiencing discomfort.

Tabby’s Place is fortunate enough to be in a position to be able to try this medication to see if it will keep our girl relaxed and content (well, as content as possible, given the disgraceful ineptitude of the human servants around her).

We’ll be monitoring Olive closely, as usual, and will keep you updated on any progress.

And so another year is almost gone. Thank you for helping us take care of Olive and our other wonderful felines.
