Update for Morgan

The introduction of Olive to the Lobby has added a lot of drama to the daily lives of the residents. Morgan holds dual citizenship (Lobby and Community Room), so he is affected by the goings on.

While Olive is young, small and paraplegic, she is a spitfire: “a person with a fierce temper,” according to the dictionary.
Olive may not be a “person,” but the rest of the definition fits her to a tee.

She is the most active resident of the Lobby and spends a lot of time whizzing around, scouting out treats, human attention and … cats to terrorize.

Until recently, Morgan had managed to stay out of her sights, probably by being up high when she was on one of her “hunter-killer” missions.
But, that couldn’t last forever.

I walked into the Lobby just two days ago to see Morgan strutting as fast as he could, with a distraught look on his face.
And, just behind him was Olive, moving at remarkable speed and hissing like a banshee.

Poor Morgan was doing his best to stay calm and not break into a trot.
He seemed confused and not able to formulate an escape plan (e.g., jump onto a couch).
It seems Olive’s “Shock and awe” campaign was working.

I took pity on him and opened the Community Room door so he could scoot in.
Morgan continues to venture into the Lobby, but he takes a good look around before he commits.
I haven’t told him yet, but Olive has been venturing to the Community Room. 🙂
