Dear friends,
Love must be contagious. The Hammock Crew keeps expanding, but one thing is pretty constant: Mona prefers to be in the midst of it all. When we’re not all piled next to one another on the heated hammock, you’ll still find Mona curled up somewhere with at least one of us. Just recently, Mona and I were caught cuddling in an igloo on a cold winter day. She’s such a sweet girl. Why have I not cuddled with her all these years?
The only damper on our love fest is our new suitemate, Giselle, who tends to get into our spaces and faces, and then gets annoyed with us for having the audacity to breathe her air. While others, like Buddy, are doing their best to ignore her, I’ve been getting my ‘macho’ on. Love has its limits.
In other news, somebody has roundworms — my money’s on Giselle. As a result, all of us in the FIV+ suite are being treated for them. The good news is that the new diet I’ve been on has helped with my other tummy issues, so all’s good on that front (or behind) finally!
For a bunch of years, when it got cold outside, I would curl up on my favorite chair inside. Now that I have my Hammock Crew — and a heated hammock! — I’m spending even the chilliest of days in the solarium with my good friends. Cold air, warm hearts, I say.
Thanks for all your love and support. I hope you’re curled up with your favorite people and furry friends on these chilly days.
Your friend,
Lester
