Update for Lester

Dear friends,

As I sit here in my blissed-out, Prozac state of mind, I’m happy to tell you that – to the amazement of the lovely Tabby’s Place staff – no one has witnessed me engaging in battle with my roommates. (Because we’re friends, I will admit that I’ve swatted at other cats a few times, but it was only because I was getting attention from my correspondent and the others wanted in on it. I may be calmer, but I still get jealous. Anyhow, it wasn’t malicious, I promise, and they were lame swats. Shhhh. Don’t tell anyone, okay? It’s just between us friends.)

I’m also much easier to pill these days. Needless to say, everyone is elated – the staff and my cat roommates alike. All this makes for a happier and more serene Suite FIV. However, there’s concern I may be a little too sedate and I’ve lost a bit of weight, so the kind people here will be cautiously lowering my Prozac dose in the days ahead. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes.

Have you heard the great news? Tabby’s Place surpassed its Linda Fund Matching Challenge goal! Our generous donors gave over $143,000, which will provide life-saving emergency and specialty care for cats in crises. You loving, generous humans always touch my heart. Without people like you, where would cats like us be? Thank you, thank you, thank you from all of us furballs at Tabby’s Place.

Lots of love,

Lester
