Update for Lester

Hi, friends.

The frigid temperatures have kept most of us inside, huddling in warm blankets and comfy beds. Luckily, we got a bunch of new toys to keep us entertained. Some of us active guys are having lots of fun pouncing and goofing around.

Despite the cold days, it has been a joyous month. I’m happy to announce that our days of scheduled meals are behind us! Thanks to Pyewacket, who is off his prescription diet, we now get to enjoy dry food any time we want throughout the day. Best. News. Ever.

Not long ago, I had to endure a physical exam because I had lost some weight. I tried telling our veterinarian it was because I was practically being starved (not really, but I wanted to be dramatic), and the exam proved I was okay. Well, I’ve gained all the weight back and then some. It should not surprise you that I’ve been partaking in the free-for-all, my greatest joy of joys.

Our newest roommates – Mitt and Knox – are still getting settled and adjusting. Mittens pretty much lives at the top of the ramp to the solarium. Knox has been quiet and stays in his large crate, even though he’s free to roam around. While he sometimes looks afraid, Knox melts quickly in the human hands that rub his ears and show him love.

While they seem like sweet guys, I’ve been preoccupied with food and toys. So preoccupied, in fact, that I haven’t had a chance to try to convince them I’m boss of the FIV suite (not everyone is buying this, but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).

I hope you’re staying warm and snuggling with your loved ones. I appreciate you and all your love and support.

Your buddy,
Lester
