Update for Lester

Dear friends,

I’m always happy when one of my FIV+ roommates gets adopted, but our most recent adoption has me OVERJOYED! Knickers, our cat-attacking/people-loving orange guy, was adopted and will be the only cat in his household. Cats everywhere—and especially those of us in Suite FIV—are breathing a sigh of relief. I’m sporting a deep scratch on my nose. My correspondent thinks it’s a parting gift from Knickers, but I won’t fight and tell 😉.

With peace restored, we’re back to forming cuddly little cat piles. I like to snuggle up with Shea and Oscar. They have great vibes. Sweet Shea has become a one-cat welcome wagon for new FIV arrivals. His affection and friendship help nervous new cats, like Oscar, feel more comfortable at Tabby’s Place.

I’m quite svelte these days, thanks to horrible tasting diet food for sensitive tummies. Why can’t they make hypoallergenic diets with better flavors, like tuna or chicken that taste like the real thing? The lovely, but exasperated, staff here is trying a new venison flavor. The jury’s still out. Please cross your fingers for me that this tastes better than the other hypoallergenic grub.

Recently, a visitor cradled and cuddled Oscar in her lap. He was in pure ecstasy. He may have even drooled a little, he was so happy. She looked like a good person to go home with, so I tried to crawl and hide in her big purse, but even with my skinny frame, I didn’t fit. So I rooted around in her purse for a savory snack instead. No such luck! Maybe next time …

I’m as picky with my friends as I am with my diet, so I consider myself a very lucky guy to have you in my life. Sending you tasty morsels of love.

XOXO,
Lester
