Update for Lester

Happy May, fellow Lester lovers!

Hope this note finds you well and enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Lester certainly is, dividing his time between the suite and the solarium now that the sun is shining.

Lester has been a little “hot and cold” with me of late. When I visited with him a few weeks ago, he wanted nothing to do with me. He seemed a bit annoyed with my cuddles and was much more interested in the contents of the food bowl.

This past Sunday, however, Lester was a love bug, and we had a great visit. He was asleep in the top of his two-tier wicker cat bed when I entered the suite, and I gently pet him so as not to startle him. He woke up, followed me everywhere, and let me brush him and cuddle him to my heart’s content. His purring let me know that he was enjoying the attention, too.

I was told that Lester has had a bout of diarrhea recently, so maybe he just wasn’t feeling so great that previous day. Or, maybe it was because the second visit was National Hug Your Cat Day and he was helping me to celebrate in style!

I have always admired Lester, and now that I am his correspondent, I am getting to know him much better. You know what? Lester is a really nice cat. Besides being unusually handsome, he has a very pleasant disposition and doesn’t seem to mind the other cats in his suite. I can’t say I’ve seen him play with others, but I have witnessed Lester and a buddy curled up in the same bed, which is really cute, since Lester is not exactly on the small side!

Lester is so excited that you love him, and he wants you to know that he loves you, too. I told him that it’s because of your love that he has such a great life at Tabby’s Place. Lester smiled and purred, and asked me to say thank you on his behalf.
