I’m thrilled to be sharing my news with you this month. There have been a lot of exciting developments in Suite FIV, and since I am the eyes and ears of the suite, I will fill you in on all the juicy details.
#1 Who’s been adopted from Suite FIV?
Drum roll, please…I have big, big news, my friends. Just when I thought it would never happen, my dear friend Edward goes and gets himself adopted. I thought that Ed and I would grow old together in Suite FIV, but he charmed the pants off of an adopter and finally got to go to his forever home, along with the shyer but no less charming female member of our Suite, Juju. Happy trails to you, Edward my friend. Suite FIV is just not the same without you, but we are overjoyed by this fortunate turn of events.
#2 Who’s the new bully in Suite FIV?
Edward was usually a friend to all, but he could be a bully if he felt like it. He especially didn’t take to Doc Watson, a deaf and blind fellow who had to be removed from Suite FIV because Ed gave him such a hard time. And so you may be wondering, now that Ed has fled, who’s the new top bully in Suite FIV?
#3 Who in Suite FIV is participating in a clinical study?
Lately I’ve heard my human pals chattering excitedly about all of us in Suite FIV possibly participating in a clinical study. Here’s the scoop: a Colorado veterinarian is studying a new FIV test, which shows promise in differentiating between the antigen and the antibody for the FIV virus. This could be a lifesaving development: presently, even an FIV- cat will test positive for the virus if he’s been vaccinated against it. This new test will hopefully be able to distinguish between vaccinated cats and truly FIV+ cats. I hear that our participation will involve cheek swabs and a bit of blood work. I’m not looking forward to that part, but I am enthusiastic about participating in this important study.
And that’s all the news that’s fit to print from Suite FIV. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous support. I can’t wait to chat with you again soon! Until then, I am
Your friend,
Lester
