Dear friends,
Never mind what I said last month about my fighting days being over. I was just kidding about all that. If you think I’m kidding now, just look at the fresh scratches on my nose!
It all started when newcomer, Amos, arrived. He made it clear he was nervous in his new environment, so McNulty and I decided to have a little fun with the new guy. We teamed up and charged him whenever he ventured out from under the crates. The poor guy was so scared, he stayed under the crates all the time, unable to get to food or water. Luckily, the attentive staff noticed what was happening and brought water under the crates for Amos, who proceeded to drink two full bowls!
Soon after, McNulty began to cuddle Amos. Me? Well, let’s just say I’ve decided to let him live here.
Please understand, I mean no real harm. It’s just that, before coming to Tabby’s Place, I always had to fight for my territory. I guess I sometimes just forget that I don’t have to do that any longer.
In other news, I have FIV. How could this be news, you ask? There have been recent changes in FIV testing. Previously, any cat who had been vaccinated for FIV tested positive for the virus, even if the cat was not infected. A new test can now distinguish between truly positive cats and vaccinated cats, so the lovely Tabby’s Place staff ran the test on all the cats in Suite FIV. And, yes, I have FIV.
Thanks for loving me and supporting me just as I am – an FIV+, tough guy with a heart full of gratitude for having you in my life.
XOXO,
Lester
