Dear friends,
So much has happened since I last wrote. New guy Stafford won the lottery and has moved to the office of our fearless leader Jonathan, where he is rooming with Sherbet, another FIV+ cat. And Knickers, who recently joined the FIV suite, has gone berserk. Though he’s sweet with humans, his affection does not translate well to his feline roommates. Knickers has started some pretty big fights, and sometimes redirected his aggression toward people, so he was put on behavioral medication.
Apparently, it can take time for behavioral meds to do their magic. In the meantime, I was a frequent target of Knickers’ rage, as was Rufus. The three of us tangled a few times, but after one especially big fight, the kind Tabby’s Place staff reluctantly decided to crate Knickers at all times until the medication takes effect. Things are much calmer now that he’s crated, and I can once again relax and go back to my chillaxin ways.
Health wise, all is good. I’m fit as a fiddle and escaped the brawls with no injuries. I’m also as handsome as ever.
Now that it’s cold outside, we frisky felines are spending most of our time indoors, enjoying the show that the lobby kitties put on daily when staff, volunteers, and visitors arrive at Tabby’s Place. They follow people around, consume treats, bask in sunshine, and purr loudly when brushed.
I hope you felt my love for you on Valentine’s Day. I think about you often and am so lucky to have you in my life.
XOXO
Lester
