Update for Lester

Dear Friends of Lester,

Lester has been in good health this month. He was checked for a UTI (urinary tract infection) after a note of strong-smelling urine, but everything was okay when the medical team checked him out.

The FIV+ Suite continues to be filled with highly adoptable cats. They seem to come and go in rapid succession. All the while, Lester remains steady in his daily routine. Some of the newbies ruffle his feathers more than others. Lester is a strong personality, but he doesn’t generally pay much attention to the other suite residents unless they get in his way or start trouble with someone else.

This month Shea, Nikki, and Wilson were adopted from the FIV+ suite. Nikki was a very sweet cat to people, but he did tend to stir up trouble with the other cats. He and Rufus had an ongoing issue, and when things got stirred up, Lester would sometimes get involved. Wilson tended to keep to himself and tried to stay out of trouble but had earned himself a purple calming collar along the way. Shea never caused trouble. He went home with a wonderful Tabby’s Place volunteer who reports that he has adjusted very well to his new life and is very happy and very loved.

Lester appreciates stability. The current occupants have figured out Lester, and Lester has figured them out. This is the sort of stability that works best for Lester.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our special needs boy.
