Dear friends,
There’s a new sheriff in town. And her name is Adelaide. This cute little senior packs quite the punch (trust me, I know!). In my Prozac state of mind, I think that her efforts to draw boundaries are rather charming and her strong swatting method a bit, well, humbling. When it comes to humans, she is smitten with them. She will race her tiny frame to the door to happily greet her peeps.
I hear from visitors that we’re experiencing another “kitten season.” We have so many little ones, they now have their very own kitten room. There’s even word that Tabby’s Place has reduced their kitten adoption fees by a substantial amount for all of August. The humans use words like ‘adorbs!’ and ‘little furry angels.’
“They come in all shapes and sizes,” they say. “They’ll melt your heart into a liquid puddle of goo,” they gush. Blah, blah. Whatever. Personally, I think those of us who are older and more damaged filled with character are too valuable to be adopted at a discount. Anyhow, if you’re in the market for a kitten, you now know where to go. You’re welcome.
On the health front, my embarrassing diarrhea problem has re-emerged. Last time, medication and prescription food helped. This time, they’re going to try to tackle it with medication only. I think I speak for all of us here in Suite FIV when I say THANK YOU TABBY’S PLACE for not taking the snacks away! Please cross your fingers that this works out.
I’m so grateful for you continued love and support! I hope you and your loved ones are having a fun, relaxing summer.
Your pal,
Lester
