Update for Lester

Dear friends,

The FIV+ Suite continues to empty out. Our shy guy, Inigo Montoya, was promoted to our founder Jonathan’s office about a month ago. His roommate, Stafford, is to Jonathan’s office what Shea is to the FIV+ Suite—the Comforter of Scared and Shy Cats. They tell me that Inigo Montoya and Stafford frequently curl up on a chair together and await dinner and treats side-by-side at the office door.

I often wonder what it takes to get promoted to Jonathan’s office. How much sucking up must we do to move on up to the top guy’s office? But then I realize the special privileges I have right here in the FIV+ Suite:  I get to hang outside in the solarium and lots of people visit our suite, which means I get tons of attention. So, I guess there will be no sucking up from me. I quite like it exactly where I am.

Tennison, our friendly and handsome orange guy, was adopted and is now living with his new, loving people. I’m thrilled when my roommates get adopted. Partly because it gives me hope that I, too, may someday be adopted by people who dote on me constantly. And partly because there’s one less cat to compete with for attention.

We have a new FIV+ girl, Norah. She’s still being crated while waiting for a retest, just to be sure she belongs in this suite. It might be nice to have some new female energy around here.

As for me, I’ve been eating better and enjoying my diet food, so my figure is filling back out a bit. I’m a total ham and love when visitors come to see me and pay me some attention. Most of the time, though, I’m curled up in a soft bed or chair sleeping and dreaming of how lucky I am to have your love and support.

P.S. I still tease my correspondent by blinking whenever she tries to take a photo. She’s learning to move a little faster though and caught me with my eyes open.

Kisses,
Lester
