Update for Lester

Well hello, my dearest humans in the whole world!

Happy November to you! It is the traditional month for giving thanks, and I don’t even have words to express how thankful I am for everything you do for me. And guess what? This month I’m writing my update with a guest correspondent. I’ve known her for years, and she used to write my suitemate
Charlie’s sponsor updates until recently when his new forever foster mom took on the job.

She always gives me extra special love and attention when she visits our suite, even though I wasn’t the nicest kitty to her back in the day. Years ago, when she was a brand new volunteer, she attempted to put me in a crate so I could eat my special food in peace, and apparently I gave her quite a scratch down her arm! I have blocked this out and I have no memory of it, but you know that I of course didn’t mean to hurt her. I just got scared, I’m sure.

She said she forgave me years ago, because there was absolutely no way she could help but fall madly in love with me anyway. I mean, really. Look at me! I know that my uniquely handsome black-and-white coat and purrfect personality can’t help but charm everyone I meet.

I hope you enjoy the picture of me letting out a big ol’ yawn. My guest correspondent caught me as I was slowly considering waking up from a nap. I was all snuggled up in my bed and I could’ve stayed there for hours! But I am always super happy to get pets from visitors, as you can see from the other picture. I adore human attention and I am a professional at pressing my head into your hand as you pet me, to tell you in cat language that I love you.

So good news, sponsors. I do NOT have ringworm. That frustrating fungus has reared its ugly head in our suite, but so far I’ve escaped the dreaded dips. Our super fantastic vet team inspected each and every one of us under a blacklight to investigate carefully. My sponsorable buddy Cisco is also ringworm-free, so we are team grateful once again.

Plus, my mouth is completely healed and everyone tells me I’m looking great! Our staff and volunteers say I’m impressive because, despite my age, I can still easily make the jump from the floor to a second-story crate for dinner. Food is a powerful motivator!

Speaking of food, I cannot wait until our Thanksgiving with the Cats event on November 17th. Visitors will get to enjoy fun activities at Tabby’s Place, but more importantly, they will get to feed us a special Thanksgiving treat. It’s sure to be my favorite day of the month!

My favorite day of last month was, of course, National Cat Day on October 29th. I hope you celebrated in a spectacular way with the special cats in your life. I am honored to be on that list! You are what I am most thankful for, on Thanksgiving and every day!

With lots of Lester love,

Lester
