Update for Lester

Dear friends,

The FIV+ Suite is a little light on cats these days — five cats to be exact. We’ve had a serious ringworm outbreak, leaving Charlie, Chachi, Cisco, Shea
and Rogue
with visible lesions. It has caused quite the drama around here.

Just before the ringworm outbreak was discovered, Charlie went for a stroller ride outside in Pixie’s stroller. So that needed to be thoroughly disinfected before Pixie
could go for another ride.

The Infected Five are in ringworm quarantine for three weeks or more, with regular dips in a lime sulfur solution. And the Suite has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Somehow, cuddle-Queen Mona
—who regularly power cuddles with Shea and Chachi — managed to escape the ringworm. Luckily, so have I!! The fact that a few of us are ringworm-free did not spare us from being dipped as a precaution ☹. It could have been worse, I suppose.

After the ringworm ordeal, we’ll be light one Charlie cat — who is no lightweight, by the way. Charlie is the latest of the lucky FIV+ cats who has found a forever home, this time with a lovely Tabby’s Place staff member who will spoil him silly.

Meanwhile, with five fewer cats in my world, I am one happy, blissed-out cat. I hope all is Zen in your world, too. Many thanks and kitty kisses for your continued support.

Your pal,

Lester
