Wow – this is my first time writing to you, and I am so excited! I have somebody who loves me enough to sponsor me – me! I am humbled and so grateful.
I guess we should start out be getting to know each other, okay? You know I am Lester, also known as Mr. Handsome and Mr. Affectionate and Mr. Used-To-Live-In-Brooklyn. Yes, I am a Brooklyn boy, transplanted to the beautiful rural New Jersey countryside. Some say you can’t take the boy out of Brooklyn, but having been at Tabby’s Place for a while now, I can’t say I miss the big city at all. Sure, they have Coney Island and the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest every July fourth, and a professional basketball team, and lots of famous people. But once you’ve been on the mean streets and realize that no one is going to take care of you, being safe and sound in Ringoes, New Jersey is a blessing!
I am an FIV+ boy, which means I have feline immunodeficiency virus. I’ll have this my whole life. It just makes me a little bit more susceptible to infections. A lot of people don’t understand this virus, and they don’t realize that cats like me can have a wonderful, long and happy life. Not many places will take care of a boy like me, but Tabby’s Place has a whole suite just for me and my buddies! How lucky can a cat get?
