Update for Jude

Dear Jude Friend,

Jude had a good, but messy month.

“Messy,” because she had a few days of loose stool…and for some reason, she kept laying on her wet food plate a lot this month — don’t ask me why!

She therefore needed a lot of baths, and even two baths some days. We can’t have a dirty baby, and she was constantly getting herself covered in something. When she lays in her wet food, she manages to get it smeared into the fur on her face. It’s lovely!

After so many baths this month, I think she gave up being mad about it, and just allowed it to happen. I am convinced she enjoyed one of the baths, as she put her head back and totally relaxed in the water.

Jude had 6 seizures this month, which is a little lower than average for her. She also had one episode of cluster seizures, which lasted about 10 minutes. Overall, a pretty good month.

We have had quite a few nice days lately, and I have been able to open the windows in Jude’s room. She loves to sit in the cross breeze from the windows and feel the gentle breeze on her fur. She looks so peaceful at these times. It’s wonderful to see.

Jude has continued to allow me to pet her late at night, so I take full advantage of this. For some reason, around midnight, she is mellow and friendly. I’m a night owl, so I am around for happy Jude. At this time, and at this time ONLY, I can pet her down her back, scratch under her chin, kiss her head, and massage her feet. She even spreads her toes wide when she’s getting a footie massage. How cute!

Jude got a new playpen, which she seems to like. She had her old one for a long time, and it was pretty beat up. Her new one is smaller than the old one, but she only used a small part of the old one. She seems to really like her new playpen and settled into it right away.

Jude’s buddies, Luvs and Warren, keep visiting Jude and keeping her company. Sometimes they try to steal her food too, but she usually eats it too fast for them to get the chance.

Luvs and Warren are very good with Jude, and don’t annoy her, or try to play with her (she doesn’t approve of such things!), so she is happy to let them hang out in her room.

That’s all the Jude news for now. As always, thank you so much for your support of our Jude. We appreciate you so much.

Your correspondent,
Karina
