Update for Jude

Dear Jude Friend,

Jude had a pretty good month. She did have 8 seizures this month, but she did recover quickly from all of them. One of the seizures was quite violent, but it did pass on its own, right before I was about to give her the rescue medication. Overall, she is doing better, and her seizures are usually quite short (around 30 seconds), but some do last a little longer.

Jude did have some loose stool this past month, but mostly it has been much better. She only needed 4 baths this past month, which is a big improvement. Two of those baths were on the same day—that was a messy day!

Look–I’m standing up!

Jude has been standing up quite a few times lately. I know have mentioned she can stand up in prior updates, but this time I finally managed to get a photo of her standing up! I’m glad you can finally see her standing up.  It’s really cute, and I’m always so proud of her when she manages to stand up. She can’t walk, or even do any steps while standing, but she can stand there for a few seconds before she sits down again. While she’s standing, her little butt rocks back and forth. It’s sooooooo cute!

I recently went away for a couple of days, to take my dogs to dog beach. It is really difficult for me to leave my cats, but it’s especially difficult to leave Jude. I worry about her so much. I did have one of our vet techs from work stay at my house while I was gone, and because of Jude, she had to stay over at my house for the 2 nights I was gone. Jude’s seizures nearly always happen in the middle of the night, so I would never leave her alone overnight. Even though my pet sitter did a wonderful job taking care of our Jude (and her cat siblings), I was glad to be home again.

That’s all the Jude news for now. As always, thank you so much for your support of our little girl.
