Hips’ Happenings #2

Happy February, Dear Sponsors and Tabby’s Place Fans!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day.  I had a very good day here at the Sanctuary.  But….

Olive lying down on the job as door security

Remember last month when I said I was King of the Lobby and had made myself the social director and exercise guru?  Well, “the best-laid plans….”  Little Miss Olive was going to be my door security.  But she has been lying down on the job.  So I had to change my plans a bit.  I headed over to the computer and made myself comfy on top of the printer.

But, guess what?  Yeah, you got it…another plan mishap occurred.  The lobby is under reconstruction and my high perch is gone for a while.  There is a huge temporary wall between the Community Room and the Director’s Office.  Grecca, one of my lobby buds, is having a hard time with this.  You all know how we kitties like to have everything stay the same.  If you move a table or a chair, we get all discombobulated.  I, on the other hand, just take these things in stride and use this time to explore.

While I have gotten some extra energy to see all the remodel workings, I am having some elimination challenges:  constipation, loose stool, and vomiting.  My diet is supposed to be VERY restricted, but you know me.  I have figured out a way to buck the system.  If I am crated overnight, I can’t get to the food that the “free” lobby kitties enjoy.  However, I use my great looks and charming personality to get the “hoomans” to open my crate and let me out before the food is picked up.  Then, I just snarf up what I can.  But later on, I pay the price with some G.I. issues as previously mentioned.  Don’t be upset when you read this because if I stay away from all the forbidden food, I am just fine.

I am truly enjoying my managerial lobby duties as I am still King of the Lobby.  After the remodel is completed, I will try once again to see if Miss Olive wants to be the keeper of the door while I conduct my exercise routines.  Until then, I will just run around the lobby and explore each nook and cranny.

Please come to visit me and all the other kitties here at Tabby’s Place and see all the new additions.  And play with me while you are here.  I might try to convince you to give me treats, but don’t do it, since I don’t want to have a bad tummy and intestines again.

Until then, I wish everyone to stay well and warm and enjoy the last few weeks of February.  Spring is not far behind. Yay for that! Thank you for all your love and support to allow me to live the good life at Tabby’s Place.

Love to all,
Hips
