Update for Casper

Hello my dear friends,

I hope that you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather, mild days and cooler evenings.

As always at Tabby’s Place, there are many joys, but also some sad times. Recently my feline friend Jenny, who was the beloved queen of our lobby, passed away. She was 18 years old, and spent much of her life at Tabby’s Place. We were all very surprised by her passing, as she was rarely sick until the last few days of her life. She was a beautiful girl with a strong spirit, and the lobby does not feel the same without her.

I am very busy these days, enjoying the company of my feline and human friends. I am glad to be in a place where everyone is so loving. I think that all this love is affecting my blood chemistry. My kidney values, although still high, have improved. and my blood glucose levels are much better! Most importantly, I am in good spirits, and appreciate every day.

It was recently brought to my attention that the kind folks at Tabby’s Place had thought that I was only 3 years old. When I was first brought to Tabby’s Place, my rescuers mentioned that they first met me 3 years ago. However, I was already full grown when they met me! I do look very good for my age….though no one is sure how old I am, and I will never tell.

Are you going to get dressed up for Halloween? The cats in the lobby are planning a surprise party for the staff. We are going to get dressed up as the sweetest and most beautiful angels in the universe…no costumes necessary! If you are planning on going to a party this Halloween, might I suggest that you dress up as the most generous and loving sponsors that I have ever met? No costume necessary!

Here is a haiku for you to celebrate the autumn season:

autumn leaves–

into your lap

i fall too

Much love and kisses,

Casper
