Update for Boobalah

Hello to Boobalah’s Sponsors and All of Her Friends,

Summer is still very much here at Tabby’s Place. Some of Boobalah’s fellow felines and the humans that dote on her have had some very warm days this past month. So warm, that the air conditioning decided it was being overworked and needed a break. Some of the staff and volunteers were coming through the Operations Center where I was doing my volunteer shift (dishes and laundry) to cool off.

Now that is saying a lot because it is usually the hot spot. With hot soapy water for the dishes, sanitizer to make sure everything is sparkling clean, and washers and dryers to keep all the towels and bedding fresh, there is a lot of heat generated. If you ever want a free steam facial, this is the place for you! Thankfully, the air conditioning parts are on order and will be installed so that everyone can be comfortable again.

Boobalah had her regular ultrasound and echocardiogram this month. Her heart is stable so there is no need for an adjustment of her medications. She continues to have variable stools and occasional vomiting episodes, so we are monitoring her closely. She is a very happy and contented lady. If you visit her around feeding time, you’ll see her divide and conquer all the food dishes to see what the leftovers are before she settles down for a nap. There’s not much chance of getting her attention at this time, but eventually, she’ll notice she has a visitor!

Boo adores people and loves, loves, loves getting visitors. If you are ever in the area, please stop by and say hello to her. She would be ecstatic to see you and spend some time with you, and–of course–give you purrs and head butts to show her appreciation for your support and love.

You may have heard that Tabby’s Place is having our annual Linda Fund Matching Challenge to raise money for emergency and specialty veterinary care for our fur babies. If you are interested in participating in the match, please click here.

Thank you for all your generosity to the cats, and may you have a great month!

Your correspondent,

Donna
