Update for Boobalah

Hello Boobalah Friends!

July is such a great month. We are on the cusp of the start of summer with so much to look forward to. Everything seems to be in abundance this time of year. Long days give us lots of daylight to nurture our souls and provide warmth and sunshine.

Speaking of warmth and sunshine, the last time I was at Tabby’s Place volunteering, I had the opportunity to step outside in front of Quinn’s Corner. Some of the volunteers I was working with encouraged me to take a break and join them. I’m so glad I did. There is a lovely garden with benches and a walkway with memorial pavers. Some of our Tabby’s Place supporters have purchased an engraved paver to memorialize their forever loved ones. It is such a heartwarming sight to see.

I was so happy to hear that Kim, a super volunteer of the stroller program (and many other things) was filling in for me last month. Even better, she gave our sweet Boobalah a stroller tryout. I so wish Boo had been open to that, as it would have expanded her world. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. One size does not fit all. Anyone who has kitties in their life surely knows that!

Grecca, anxiously awaits all the special people that she beckons to her side!

Meanwhile, Boobalah is reigning over her lobby queendom. She and Grecca seem to hunker down in the corner near the reception desk. It is their turf!  I observed Grecca for a bit and realized that she is very particular about the people that she cries out to and beckons to come see her. It is absolutely adorable. She won’t even turn her head if it’s not the right person! She just keeps staring beyond – willing one of ‘her’ people to come through the door.

In medical news, Boobalah has been in good health and spirits this month. The new routine of remaining diaperless overnight seems to be keeping her a bit more sanitary. All of our wonderful lobby cleaning volunteers know to keep her bedding fresh and clean so that she can stay fresh and clean!

I am so grateful for the love and devotion that you have for sweet Boobalah. She is so very lucky that you took her under your wing, and we are forever grateful to you. She has all that she needs and most of what she wants (do cats ever have everything they want?) thanks to your continued support.

Have a great month!
