Update for Boobalah

Boobalah helping in the stationery closet

Happy November, Boobalah Friends,

‘Tis the season for giving, and you, dear Boobalah Friends, are some of the most giving people in the world. As part of the Tabby’s Place family, you make our mission possible. We are forever grateful for your love, generosity, and support.

This has been a busy month in Boobalah’s world. She took on a big project to help one of her best friends clean out the stationery closet. She took this job very seriously and inspected every box. She is a joy to be with.

After all the work was done, it was time to get some well-needed rest. And where better than a fluffy, poofy kitty bed? Life can be exceptionally good sometimes.

And then some days aren’t so good. Boobalah had an episode of loose stool earlier this month and was placed on an antidiarrheal medication. Her stool improved but during a recent ringworm outbreak, we found a lesion on her and she is back in ringworm quarantine again. Poor Boobalah. All she wants to do is snuggle up to someone, and instead, she is isolated as she goes through her treatment.

On a positive note, Boobalah’s repeat echocardiogram showed that her heart remains stable with no visible change. Her medications are working well.

The construction for Quinn’s Corner has been moving along, as we now have a real structure and roof. Unfortunately, just prior to the completion of the roof, the Community Room was flooded during a heavy rainstorm because the water was not properly diverted yet from the existing roof. As they say in life, timing is everything, and mother nature did not help us this time!

During this season of thanks, we extend our deepest gratitude to you, for giving Boobalah all that she needs and wants. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
