Dear Bacon Lovers,

Bacon’s past month has been filled with ups and downs. While we may be outside relaxing in the beautiful temperatures, Bacon remains unaware of the changing of the weather. The warmth met with sudden thunderstorms sprinkled with the unexpected cold days.

It seems we’ve rounded the corner with Bacon’s food choices. He’s expanded his acceptable food selection, so we’re at about four different flavors of food. Most days he gobbles his food and medications up! Which is fabulous! We at least know that he’s getting his medications consistently.

Despite his improved consistency with taking medication, we’ve noted that Bacon has an increased number of seizures. This is a bit puzzling to us, as he just had a full physical done and his bloodwork showed medication levels to be in the therapeutic range. The increase in seizure activity may simply be a random occurrence, but we’re keeping a close eye on him. If they continue or increase, we’ll need to assess his medication regimen and see if we need to make any adjustments.

In minor medical news, Bacon had one day where his eye was red and watery. Fortunately, for both humans and Bacon, this resolved itself quickly before the medical team went to evaluate it.
