Dearest Sponsors,
I hope everything in life is treating you well! Spring has been a mix of beautiful warm weather and pollen decorating every bit of outdoor space. The warm weather makes all that pollen worth it. I can finally leave the house with a sweater, not worry about adding multiple layers to an outfit, and enjoying the freedom to wear almost anything! Speaking of getting rid of layers…
Bacon got a shave down! It is a magnificent sight! Bacon came out looking incredibly handsome and sleek. He may not have been as impressed with his look, although it’s never been easy to tell what is happening in Bacon’s brain.
This past month Bacon was sedated for a physical exam, blood work, and dental. We may love Bacon, but he doesn’t necessarily feel the same when we try to handle him! Bacon is sensitive to touch and restraining him is very stressful (for all parties involved). Due to this, we opt to limit restraining him unless it’s absolutely necessary. When we sedate Bacon, we are able to tackle everything at once. Bacon wakes up looking and feeling like a new cat!
Bacon has been doing well overall. He needed three teeth removed during his dental, but blood work to monitor his medication levels came back just fine! He has been noted several times to have had seizures. We’re not sure if it’s a true increase in their frequency or if we’re around more often to notice them occur. We are monitoring his seizure activity and will make adjustments to his medications if needed.
I wish you all the best this coming month. Enjoy all the extra vitamin D from soaking up the sun and warm weather!
Have a wonderful May, I’ll be back with more Bacon news next month!
