Dear Sponsors,
I hope you are doing well and keeping warm! Between the cold and snowstorms, winter is definitely in full force here in New Jersey! For all those lucky to experience “winter” at a beautiful 70°F, would you please share some of that sunshine and warmth?
Bacon has been stable this past month. We continue to battle his occasional refusal to eat his wet food that contains his medications. Fortunately, he loves his Fancy Feast Savory Centers. Since I mentioned his favorite food, and how difficult it is to order, there’s been a number of wonderful sponsors that have donated! Bacon appreciates it immensely. Most of the time, Bacon does eat his wet food, which is an improvement from his prior flat-out refusal to eat. We only wish that he would consistently eat his food and medications. It would make everyone’s life much easier!
Over the past month, Bacon continues to have periodic seizures. We are monitoring his condition, as always, to ensure that his medications are still working properly. In addition to monitoring his seizures and appetite, we always routinely draw blood to check the levels of medication in his body. He will need his routine follow-up in the near future.
In more brief medical news, Bacon was reported to have a crusty ear and irritated eye. Fortunately, they both resolved before he was examined by the medical staff. He is not a fan of being examined or restrained. Bacon was stress-free and the medical team avoided restraining what would have been a very angry, biting, loudly screaming cat. I call that a win-win!
That wraps it up for the month! Some months Bacon has great stories to tell, other months it’s not as exciting. Either way, I hope you enjoy these updates, and thank you for sponsoring the wonderful, sometimes wacky, little Bacon!
