Update for Anka

Hello dear friends,

In my native land of Turkey, they do not celebrate Valentine’s Day. However, for about the last 15 to 20 years, they have celebrated their equivalent, which is called Lovers’ Day. People spend a small fortune on flowers, restaurants, and all kinds of heart-shaped gifts — pretty much like they do here in the U.S.

I am a lover of people, so I’ll consider this most recent holiday my People Lovers’ Day. I am not a lover of cats — hence the distinction.

Another lover of people — but not so much of cats — is the sweet and innocent looking Jonathan. Maybe I’m exaggerating when I say he doesn’t like cats in general. Let me be more specific: he doesn’t like ME! That frail-looking, tiny teacup has started scuffles through the walls of my luxury accommodations.

I’m appalled (but also find it very funny). What would he back it up with if I ever got free? He must either be feeling really good, or he’s bat-poop crazy.

When I’m not being harassed by a miniscule mop, I’m enjoying lots of playtime with my people. I’m told that I’m an “instant favorite” of first-time visitors. And I continue to enjoy my trips to nursing homes, where I spend time with seniors and enjoy their warm snuggles.

My health is incredible — just like my life. I have you to thank for all of that.

I send you my big heart for People Lovers’ Day and hope you enjoyed a happy day filled with love and magic.

Love, Anka
