Update for Anka

I’m as sweet as a Lil’ Pumpkin Pie
Take me to your leader

Dear friends,

While you may already have your sights on the Thanksgiving holiday ahead, I hope you still carry a bit of the fun, creative, and sugar-fueled memories of Halloween in your heart.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I get to try on fun costumes. This year, I got to wear two outfits—a pumpkin pie (because I’m sweet like that) and an alien from out of space with a missing eyeball (I didn’t take out the eye!).

I love when my Tabby’s Place people dress me up. They give me lots of attention, praise, and little kisses on my head, telling me what a good and handsome boy I am. This makes me reminisce fondly on my other Halloween costumes from prior years (see photos below). What a lucky boy I am!

In case you haven’t heard, we had a little ringworm situation at Tabby’s Place. A few cats in the Lobby and Community Room tested positive for ringworm. So, the kind staff isolated and treated the affected cats and were able to keep everything contained and under control.

I’m really a Big Lion in a little cat’s body (okay, maybe not so little)

Luckily, this did not affect me, so I was granted stroller walk privileges since I was not living in a quarantined area of the sanctuary. I’m so happy I’ve been able to enjoy autumn breezes and watch leaves fall and whirl around.

Dressing up in costumes and getting outside for fresh air have lifted my spirits considerably, and I am no longer a cranky pants.

I am now looking forward to Thanksgiving. In particular, I’m excited for Thanksgiving With The Cats on Saturday, November 22nd, from noon to 4 p.m.—an annual event where visitors can feed us cats Thanksgiving treats. I hope you can make it!

In the meantime, I’ll be reflecting on how grateful I am for all your love and support. I wish you and your loved ones a very special and meaningful Thanksgiving.

With deep gratitude,
Anka
