Hello, Team Anka!

It’s October. Crazy, huh? We can’t imagine where this year has gone. But, October means my favorite holiday is coming up — yup, it’s Halloween. More on that later.
But first, my friend Mary is taking a little time off, so I’m taking this opportunity to dictate to Janet so I can fill you in on a little bit of the past, a little bit of the present, and maybe some future.
Confessions of the “Mayor of Quinn’s Corner”
(If I ever write a book, that will be the title)
- Yes, I AM the mayor of Quinn’s Corner.
- I love, love, love boxes with paper in them… lots of paper.
- I wait daily for volunteer Kevin to come with that stroller.
- I LOVE to stroll. Kevin takes me all around the building, pointing out all and anything new in the neighborhood.
- I love being outside. My office mate Jae and fellow staff member Carolyn take me out in good weather to roll around in the grass. There’s nothing like it!
- I love to give the staff a hard time while they are expressing my bladder.
- I love to be in charge of recycling and paper shredding (see video below).
- I LOVE being Mayor.
- I love wearing costumes Jae puts me in (but that’s a secret).
I take recycling very seriously - I love it when people stop by to say “hi” and stay a while.
- I LOVE to eat, especially kibble (which I’m not supposed to have).
- I love small fuzzy mice (toys, of course).
- I love Jae.
- I love my other office mate, Karina.
- I love stroller rides (oops… did I already mention that?).
- I love being brushed (that’s a secret/don’t tell volunteer Heidi).
- I love being called handsome (I AM handsome).
Now, how about a little look forward?
The beautiful colors of fall are here, along with the cooler weather. And Halloween comes on the 31st. Tabby’s Place loves to decorate for holidays. All those pumpkins and goblins and ghouls. I can’t wait!!
Jae is starting to spice up the office with Halloween decor. Exciting!! I wonder what costume Jae will pick for me this year?

Thank you, dear sponsors, for all the kindness and positive energy you share. You enable Tabby’s Place to give cats in hopeless situations a place to thrive. You help our world-class vet team to keep a paraplegic cat like me healthy and happy (no more cranky pants).
And, thank you for being my guest correspondent, Janet. You listed my “loves” and even left room for some more.
With many thanks to you, dear sponsors … until we meet again.
Love,
Anka
