Update for Anka

Dear Friends,

I work hard in the Volunteer Office for my treats

I’m so happy to be here in your inbox today. I love telling you about my Tabby’s Place adventures, even when I must admit I’ve been a naughty boy.

You see, I’ve earned the title of Cranky Pants this past month, and deservedly so. A couple of times, I tried to nip at the very people who were here to help me. The first was a staff member who was in the process of emptying my bladder. The second was a volunteer who was cleaning my office and trying to swap out the blanket under me for a clean one.

I really don’t mean to lash out, but sometimes when my tummy is off or I’m not feeling well, my mood sours, and I’m not good at hiding how I feel. But that is no excuse. With some help, I wrote sweet notes of apology to my two friends and asked for their forgiveness. I’m happy to report that all is good between us.

What’s this? A bag?

My curiosity and my bag fetish continue to get the best of me. One of my lovely office mates has reported that every bag they bring into the Volunteer Office must be thoroughly inspected by Yours Truly. I wonder if—for extra treats, of course—I can become an official inspector at a bag factory. I’m confident I can ace that job!

As you may know, the kind people here let the Quinn’s Corner cats explore the lobby on alternate days for added enrichment. From my front-row seat, I enjoy watching the cats explore.

There’s a new young cat in Quinn’s Corner named Jovi. And when it’s Jovi’s turn to explore the lobby, he runs and runs and plays and plays. This small cat uses his huge polydactyl paws to bat all the toys around the lobby. He’s still shy around people, but I have a feeling that will change real soon.

While August is typically the hottest, steamiest month of the year in New Jersey, we’ve been blessed with some really gorgeous days. Our adorable strolling team got right on it and made sure to get me and my other stroller-loving friends outside on the nice days. We took turns going out and relaxing in our strollers. I’m so grateful for these lovely volunteers.

I must inspect it! …

Most of all, I’m grateful for you. You have my back even when I earn my Cranky Pants title. Thanks for always being my friend and someone I can count on. You mean the world to me.

XOXO,
Anka
