Dear Friends,
I’m so excited that I got to spend time with some of you during our Feline Valentine’s event last month! Nothing excites me more than getting to spend time with my favorite humans. We cuddled, and I got to show you in person just how much you mean to me.
During this visit, a beautiful friend and sponsor chatted with me in my native Turkish language. He said: “Hello, cat” (Merhaba, kedi), “I want one beer” (Bir bira istiyorum), “I don’t speak Turkish” (Türkçe bilmiyorum) and “Goodbye” (Güle güle). My response was (in silent cat language): Hello, friend. Just one beer? Thanks for visiting me. I love you.
It snowed during that event, but that didn’t stop our visitors. Nor did it prevent me from getting to enjoy a stroller ride, both indoors and briefly outdoors. I love the snow!
That said, I’m happy for spring. There’s nothing like a little sun on my face and crisp, fresh air. This is Strolling Season, a few months of mostly-perfect conditions before the summer heat kicks in. I am ready and excited for all the stroller rides I’ll get to take.
Kind little humans came to Tabby’s Place on March 1 to read to the cats as part of Read Across America Day. Snuggling with them as they read to us was heart-expanding and truly made my day.
It should come as no surprise, but the funny humans find it amusing that any time a bag hits the floor, I like to climb into it. Bags, boxes, containers … we cats are automatically drawn to it. Must be in our feline DNA.

Our devoted staff and volunteers noted that I was coughing on a couple of occasions, so the vet team took some chest X-rays that showed the possibility of mild asthma. For now, they’re keeping track of this in case it becomes more consistent or problematic. They take such good care of me here, and I know I’m in skilled, caring hands.
I hope you are enjoying the first signs of spring and that everything in your world blossoms in beautiful colors. I am so deeply grateful for your love and continued support. Thanks for being in my life.
Love,
Anka
