Update for Anka

Greetings, my friends!

Dear Friends,

August in New Jersey is hot and humid, but I am not deterred. When the weather allows, I get to spend time outside with my people. Lucky me — I was even invited to the Staff Appreciation Picnic the Board of Trustees and Managers held for the staff, where I could hang out in an enclosed area of the grass and watch the fun. And when it’s too hot to be outdoors, I have a prime spot from which to watch all the exciting things that happen at Tabby’s Place.

Some of my favorite indoor activities include:

  • Hanging out with the two amazing Tabby’s Place staff members who share my space with me.
  • Supervising all the contractors that are putting the finishing touches on Quinn’s Corner and refreshing the place.

Fun at the Staff Appreciation Picnic!
  • Watching humans go about their work, their volunteering, or their visits. I especially like it when they wave or blow kisses at me when they go by.
  • All the enrichment toys I get to play with.
  • Rifling through visitors’ bags for treats.

I hear that our kitten room is bursting with little furballs that escape every time someone opens the door. It sounds like quite a circus. While I can’t see the kitten room from my luxury accommodations, we have our fair share of cats who like to run through the doors to Quinn’s Corner when someone opens them. It’s funny to watch people run after the cats and try to catch them so they can deposit them back into their proper accommodations. I should add that to my list of indoor activities that I enjoy.

There must be treats in here somewhere …

I also enjoy the time I spend thinking about you and what I’d like to say to you each month. I love sharing my world with you. Thanks for being my steadfast friend and supporter.

Much love,
Anka
