Alas, Ana’s “reign of terror” has continued, even after she’s returned to the Special Needs Suite and successfully kicked Midnight out of her room. (Yes, the one-and-only boy in Ana’s suite irritated her to no end, and, after Ana cornered Midnight one too many times, we opted to move him to a gentler environment!)
Ana continues to intimidate her roomies (especially Hootz and Natasha) and to beat them up. She’s been seen slapping Hootz and starting fights when Natasha so much as walks by.
But don’t get too frustrated with Ana; she’s not feeling quite tip-top herself. She’s still been seen gulping a great deal (a sign of her IBD flaring up), so we’ve started her on a very effective medication (which we’d avoided until now because of how much she hates it). Fortunately, she’s on a very small amount, and, although it tastes like chalk, Ana is swallowing it.
Fortunately, Ana still loves humans and is always happy to see me. Her purr is as loud as ever, and she does seem to appreciate the attention.
Her favorite spot seems to be the top of a large crate padded with blankets. It’s a good place from which to watch her kingdom, keep her subjects in line, and catch the attention of any human who happens to walk in.
It’s just cats Ana has problems with, and, unfortunately for them, she has no hesitation in letting them know it.
Here’s hoping that Ana’s new medications calm her tummy troubles and mellow out her personality. Thank you for helping us to give her everything she needs.
