This is Angela, Tabby’s Place Development Associate. I’ll be pinch-hitting as Ana’s correspondent this month while Liz cares for a sick friend (clearly she’s as generous to her human friends as her feline ones! :)).
I’m delighted to let you know that Ana’s been blessed with another healthy, no-news-is-good-news month on the medical front. If only things were as mellow and stable in social news…
Our Ana is not amused by the newest addition to Suite A.
That’s right, our girl’s feathers (whiskers?) have been ruffled in the extreme by the introduction of one Coconut. This adorable black-and-white boy is only about one year of age (which makes him a teenager in the feline world), and overflowing with energy.
Unfortunately, much of Coconut’s boundless energy has been spent at the expense of his new roomies, as he bounces off the walls (quite literally) and into unsuspecting calmer kitties. He’s often been seen instigating a rumble with non-rumblers like gentle Drizzle, sweet Skittles, and our very own Ana.
While Ana has come to treasure her pack of buddies – Desi, Star, Venice and Drizzle – she is not exactly welcoming Coconut with open arms.
Coconut’s hyperkinetic play and ‘I’m-the-boss’ ways have clearly gotten on her nerves, and I’ve frequently seen and heard her making her displeasure known in the form of a low, angry growl.
Fortunately, kooky Coconut is on hold to be adopted, so we can look forward to a return to normal for Ana and her friends soon!
The other ‘new addition’ to Suite A fits right into the mellow, snuggly vibe of Ana’s crew. Tender-hearted, people-loving Taos is an adorable pale-ginger boy with severe chronic diarrhea. Although Taos has only been in Ana’s suite for a couple of weeks, he has already nestled comfortably into the social scene on top of the ramp, and can often be seen snuggled among Ana, Drizzle, Star, Venice and Desi on a soft blanky.
With or (preferably, in Ana’s opinion) without Coconut, Anastasia seems set to sail into summer in great health. Thank you, dear sponsors, for being such a big part of her flourishing! May your June and official start of summer be blessed and beautiful.
