Update for Anastasia

Greetings to Ana’s sponsors,

I’m happy to report that I have been accepted back in Anastasia’s good graces this month. On our most recent visit, as soon as I came into the suite, she outstretched her little paws in what I can only assume was a greeting of: “My friend, how I have missed you! Please play with me now.” Of course, I obliged by giving her a warm hello and belly rub.

Since the weather is getting warmer, I decided to experiment with taking Ana outside. Well, sort of. One of my favorite features at Tabby’s Place is the outdoor areas that some of the suites have. The kitties can get to the solarium by taking a catwalk that connects with their suite. The solarium is a lovely, enclosed area where the kitties can sun themselves and hear the birds. I’ve never seen Anastasia use the catwalk to go outside, but on that day, Hootz and a few of her other friends were venturing out, so I wanted to take Ana, too.

Even though I don’t often pick Ana up, on this day, she let me. After a few squeals, she started purring in my arms, so I took that as a sign that she didn’t mind the special treatment. We spent the rest of our visit hanging out in the outdoor area, and it couldn’t have been better! Venice and Star joined us while Ana sniffed around and finally settled down in a cozy blanket.

A mystery surrounding Suite A that might be familiar to frat boys everywhere has recently plagued Tabby’s Place staff: who vomited? Since Anastasia’s suite houses many cats with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, staff was unsure who the culprit was, but they will surely be monitoring all the kitties closely for changes in health.

Anastasia and I are wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there!
