Update for Anastasia

Greetings, fans of Anastasia,

Ana and her friends have had quite a busy month–complete with a move and a new roommate!

A few weeks ago, I went to Tabby’s Place for my normal weekly visit with Ana. I walked in, said hi to Bagheera and the other lobby kitties, and went to Ana’s room (Adoption Room 3). After the door closed, I realized that not one of the friendly cats in the room looked familiar. Though they were eager to meet me, I was worried about Ana’s whereabouts, so I immediately left and started looking in the other adoption rooms. No Ana, no Desi, no Star or Venice!

Fortunately, I was able to track down Angela, Tabby’s Place’s Development Associate, who eagerly showed me the way to Ana’s new home in the Special Needs Suite. As it turns out, Ana and her gang switched rooms with the cats who were formerly in the Special Needs Suite (Tony, Ringo, and others) because of a special new kitty, Hootz!

Little Hootz is the newest addition to Ana’s suite, and while she hasn’t been completely welcomed with open paws, she’s definitely bringing some fiery energy to the room!

Hootz suffered a spinal injury that has left her incontinent, but that doesn’t stop her from playing, jumping, and investigating like any young kitty would.

Ana has been doing quite well in response to the drastic changes. Each time I visit her, she makes an effort to come out and say hi–even if she immediately goes back to hiding in her kitty-cube. Desi (pictured at left) is also doing well with the move, and even managed to pose for a few photos while Ana was napping!

In all, it’s been a lively month for Ana, Desi, Star, Venice, and Hootz; however, I’m sure they’re looking forward to a relaxing Thanksgiving and holiday season.

Thank you for supporting Anastasia.

Best wishes,

Liz
