Hello, Charles aficionados.

Here’s another update on our beautiful marmalade boy. We have all been profoundly moved by your compassion and devotion to Charles through his recent struggles, and it is a comfort to know that you are with us, loving him.

I’m afraid our boy has continued to decline. He has lost over 1.25 pounds just in the past week, and his appetite has been poor. Despite receiving fluids daily, he’s dehydrated and running a low grade fever.

On Wednesday afternoon, we offered Charles some of his favorite foods, but he wasn’t interested and was also drooling. His stool is liquid. We have started him on an anti-nausea medication in an effort to help him feel better, but we are obviously extremely concerned.

Please send positive thoughts for our boy! We are making him as comfortable as possible and giving him all the love we can. As you can see in this photo (taken yesterday), Charles is still enjoying stroller rides in our gardens, and our staff and volunteers are lavishing him with affection and quiet tenderness all day.

Know that we are delivering your love in everything we do. Thank you for being here for Charles.
