Tinkerbell

Sigmund Freud is quoted as saying, “Time spent with a cat is never wasted.” This sentiment resonates with all of us at Tabby’s Place — especially when it comes to our darling Tinkerbell.

Time spent with Tinkerbell, a loving senior citizen, is always rewarding. She is a gentle old soul.

Beautiful Tinkerbell is a domestic medium-haired cat, dominantly gray with some light coloring. She is estimated to be thirteen years old (as of 2015) and is even-tempered and quiet with a heart of gold.

The Lobby is Tinkerbell’s favorite place to hang out. She enjoys taking a nap early in the day in her favorite chair after having breakfast, but she doesn’t mind being woken up for some loving. When the mood suits her, she strolls into the Community Room (where our staff’s offices are located) to relish a bit more attention.

So why has a sweet girl like Tink been waiting for a forever home since 2011? Tinkerbell was actually briefly adopted in 2013, but it seems she may have had a personality conflict with one of the other five cats in the home. But, we think this was out of character, as Tinkerbell cohabits peacefully with the ten to twelve cats that share “her” Lobby at Tabby’s Place.

Perhaps more daunting to potential adopters is Tinkerbell’s chronic renal disease. Although this is mild and early enough that Tink’ doesn’t yet require medication, it’s likely she will need subcutaneous fluids and other treatment as time goes by. On occasion, Tinkerbell experiences vomiting, likely related to her kidney disease. When this happens, our vet team treats her with anti-nausea medication.

Since she is such a love-bug, we believe Tinkerbell may still find the forever home she richly deserves. In the meantime, you can help to keep her happy’, healthy and well-cuddled at Tabby’s Place.
