Sluggo

This is one extra-large boy! Sluggo, a lovely buff tabby with a white patch on his chest and throat, tips the scales at almost 22 pounds; he’s one of our largest felines. It’s not all fat, either, though he is undeniably a bit chunky. Our best guess is that Sluggo was born in mid-June of 2007, and he has no health issues that we’ve been able to determine.

Sluggo is a fine boy with people. He’s very affectionate with our staff and volunteers, and he loves to play too. With cats it’s a very different story. Sluggo was adopted into a multiple-cat household several months ago, and he soon began to show a lot of aggression toward the other cats. The adopter, an experienced cat owner and pet-sitter, tried everything she could think of and kept up her efforts for months, but Sluggo remained overly-aggressive with her other cats, and she eventually returned him to us. Because of this, we strongly recommend that he be an “only” cat. In addition, Sluggo doesn’t seem to know his own strength and tends to play a little rough, so we also recommend he go to a home without small children.

While Sluggo has a couple of limitations where potential adopters are concerned, he’s a terrific boy in many other ways. We’re hopeful that he’ll soon find his “forever” home.
