Scooter

Scooter has been at Tabby’s Place for quite some time. He’s a startlingly beautiful, long-haired, black-and-white male, but he’s extremely shy. To give you a better idea of what he looks like, he has a black tail, black over his head, a black back, and a distinctive black chin; the rest of his coat is white. Scooter is good with other cats, but we don’t know how he’d be around dogs. Because he is so scared, he must go to a home without small children. He’s healthy as far as we know, and our best guess is that he was born sometime in 2002.

For some time, we had a volunteer who worked extensively with Scooter and gained a good measure of his trust. Scooter was affectionate with this volunteer (it helped that Scooter adores canned food). Unhappily, this volunteer is now far away in school, but if Scooter trusted him, we know he can come to trust others. We don’t think he’ll ever be a lap cat, but with the right person we believe he could be comfortable in a home. He just needs what every homeless animal needs: a decent chance. If you think Scooter would be a good match for you and your circumstances, please do come in to meet him.
