Despite her name, Fiesta isn’t a party animal. Fiesta would much rather find a cozy bed to curl up in – especially her favorite cupcake-shaped one – than get dressed up and go out for a night of dancing. Rather, we can imagine Fiesta finding a comfy spot on the couch to hang out and watch Netflix with her Forever Family. She would be a great companion cat for a quiet family that likes to chill.
She can be a little nervous at first and needs some time to adjust to new people and places. Once she’s comfortable, however, her sweet personality begins to shine and she will come running and yelling for attention. She can be quite vocal when she needs some love and loves to rub her face against your hands. She is very affectionate and sweet once she feels at home.
Fiesta does ok with other cats, but she seems to prefer to be by herself. She would love the chance to have a home to herself but also would be ok with other laid back cats that let her have her own space.
Fiesta came to us from another shelter with a history of severe skin allergies. She is now on a hypoallergenic diet and a course of medication to help improve her skin and make her more comfortable. Her skin is looking better than ever, but Fiesta will need lifelong care to make sure that her allergies stay in check. We are working on finding a long-term course to make sure that she stays feeling her best.
