Elmo
Elmo is a handsome, large, gray tabby. He gets along nicely with most other cats. He usually enjoys interacting with people, too, but occasionally he gets fed up. If you don’t catch on to his signals, he will sometimes bite. Elmo was adopted from Tabby’s Place in 2006. His adopters quickly learned to read his body language, and he and their other cat were friends, so everything was going nicely. However, as the adoptive family was going to have a baby, they grew nervous about the possibility of his biting with an infant in the house and returned him. In fact, we do recommend that he go to a home without small children.
We believe Elmo was born sometime in the spring of 1999. Since his return Elmo has been diagnosed with early chronic kidney disease. He doesn’t require any treatment for his condition at this time and may do very well for months or even years without the disease progressing.
We feel sorry for Elmo! We’d love to see him in a situation where his adopters understand that he can be a little temperamental. He needs a family to love him for what he is, which is really all anyone can ask for.
