Ella is a young cat (probably born in October of 2013), but she’s already had far too adventurous a life. She came to us at the very end of April (2014) in a bad state indeed. We believe she was hit by a car, and her back end was, as our vet tech puts it, "pretty well shattered". We ended up having to amputate her left hind leg; she has a plate and screws in her right femur and her right pelvis, as well. It took her months to recover sufficiently to the point where we were comfortable putting her into one of our adoption rooms, but recover she did, and very nicely, too.

This young lady is the most beautiful torbie, with positively resplendent green eyes. As you might expect after everything that’s happened to her, Ella is extremely hesitant and quite shy. When she feels comfortable with a person, she’s sweet, with a loud purr, but she needs to learn to trust people again.

We’ll be working to help Ella become more comfortable with the humans around her, but above all, we’re looking for someone who can provide this deserving young lady a happy "forever" home. Could that be you?
