She’s not just a Warrior Princess by name—Xena is a survivor who battled serious illness and journeyed thousands of miles in search of a home. Like a feline Odysseus, her resilience is truly heroic.

When she was originally found in her native Lebanon, Xena was too weak with influenza to move. Though nervous at first, as her rescuers nursed her back to health, Xena grew to feel safe and enjoy human attention.

In the summer, Xena and 14 other rescue felines flew across the Atlantic. Now, this creamsicle cat finds herself in another new environment, and her timid side has resurfaced. Although she prefers some distance while she adjusts, Xena is content sharing her general space with people. And because she is highly food-motivated, a few tasty treats could go a long way in earning her trust.

Xena is fully recovered and has no known health issues. She gets along well with other cats and would thrive with a patient adopter who can give her the time and reassurance she needs to feel at home. Every epic saga has a hero—and this one is looking for her forever sidekick. Could it be you? Fill out an adoption application today!
