Meet Antar, your personal apothecary of encouragement!

If you’ve been searching for a cat with the cuddly proportions of a teddy bear and the soul of a professional cheerleader, allow us to introduce Antar. This handsome 3-year-old black-and-gray striped tabby has a white face, a full white neck and belly, and four adorable white paws worn like mittens. He’s also carrying a little extra teddy-bear fluff around the middle—which, frankly, just makes him even more huggable.

Antar is a super cuddly, very playful fellow whose greatest gift may be his ability to make worries melt away. We like to think of him as an apothecary of encouragement for those who are weary
or worried. His prescription? One lap, unlimited purrs, and plenty of happiness. Refills are available indefinitely.

And oh, that face! Antar loves to nudge his humans with his sweet strawberry nose and irresistibly chubby cupcake cheeks. He purrs with enthusiasm, enjoys feather and wand toys, and would be perfectly content to climb into your lap and simply…be happy. Honestly, he may have discovered the secret to life.

Antar was one of 15 cats rescued from Lebanon’s war zone and brought safely to Tabby’s Place in July of 2026. After everything he has endured, it’s remarkable to see how much joy this sweet boy has to share. Now he’s ready to trade the uncertainty of the past for the comfort of a forever home.

Antar gets along well with other cats and would do well in just about any home. He is FIV+, but that doesn’t mean he needs to live alone. FIV-positive cats can safely share a home with FIV-negative cats when everyone gets along peacefully and there is no fighting. Antar would love a family who sees beyond a diagnosis and recognizes the affectionate, playful, purring teddy bear waiting to be loved.
