Ringoes was found lying in the middle of the road, barely able to walk, clearly suffering. Luckily, a Good Samaritan found her and brought her to Tabby’s Place, where she was diagnosed with FIP, a disease that impacts the nervous system. She underwent treatment and has recovered well, although she still has some neurological quirks that will probably be with her forever.
Ringoes has regained most of her control over her limbs, gets around well and loves exploring her new space. She gives the most adorable chirps, especially when touched or when chasing the tails of the other cats in her room. She is currently training to be a professional cat toy boxer – her favorite thing to do is bat at hanging toys with her signature right hook! She is also trying to befriend the other cats in her room, so she would love to have a playful kitty friend in her new home. She is still a bit unsure about human touch, sometimes avoiding it, but other times snuggling up to be cuddled under a warm hand. She’s so small that just one will cover most of her back like a heated blanket.
Ringoes does require a little bit of extra care to keep her feeling her best. While she does often use a litterbox with pee pads in it, she does not reliably use a box and will also use the bathroom outside of it. She also takes oral meds 3 times a day to prevent seizures, which she is very good for.
Ringoes has overcome great odds to get where she is today and is ready to write the next chapter of her adventure. Will you be part of it? If so, fill out an online adoption questionnaire today!
