Here’s to Musha, our resident mush ball!
Musha hails from New York City, where she has spent most of her life watching the sidewalks from a bodega. She came to us after her caretaker unfortunately passed away and now seeks a calm and quiet home to spend her golden years.
Like all New Yorkers, Musha knows what she wants and the quickest way to get to it. Toss her a mouse toy or a ball, and she will bat it around with targeted precision. Brandish a wand toy, and she will pounce and grip onto it with all fours, rolling onto her back to deliver a series of powerful bunny kicks. If you are polite about asking, Musha will then give you permission to offer her a few pets. Just be sure to pay attention to her opinions – a lifelong Gothamite through and through, she is very vocal in her communications and will let you know when she would like to be left alone.
When Musha is not playing, she is a master of relaxation with a knack for sniffing out the most cozy snoozing spots. Unlike the city that never sleeps, she spends much of her time napping away from everyone else. Perhaps tired of the hustle and bustle of urban life, she prefers that other cats give her a wide berth and will definitely do best as the solo feline in a home. For her years she is in remarkable health: she has a limp from an old injury to her right front foot, which requires a monthly injection to manage her pain, but is otherwise the picture of health with no other known issues.
