Blind (no eyes), FeLV+, chronic rhinitis

Like the swirling colors of her tortoiseshell coat, Shelly is truly unique and special. Her story begins outdoors, where she lived for years as a stray. When she was found, Shelly had two severely infected eyes that required removal. But where she lost her eyesight, Shelly gained a sixth sense for laps. She has no problem finding a comfy one, and she would happily stay there for hours if she could. It’s as if she’s been curling up with humans all her life.

Once Shelly is settled in your lap, she’ll probably offer her cheek for scritches. She might turn her face toward yours, sending you the telepathic equivalent of a sweet, slow blink of love. Then, Shelly will likely make contented little chirping noises, a side effect of her chronic rhinitis. She may even doze with her tongue sticking out.

This super sweet lady loves pats and cuddles as much as she loves scarfing down Churu squeeze-ups. Likewise, she equally adores humans and fellow felines. But because Shelly is FeLV+, she will need a home where she can be your one-and-only, or a domicile she shares exclusively with other FeLV+ cats. Shelly’s diagnoses may sound a bit daunting, but she doesn’t let any of it slow her down—she’s just looking for a safe, loving space (and an infinite supply of lap snuggles).

If you have a lap to spare and love to share, Shelly is eager to settle in and become your most devoted companion. Fill out an adoption questionnaire today!
