What do thrifting, mushroom hunting, and shy cats have in common? Sometimes you need to do a little digging to find what you’re looking for.
Step into Phoebe’s room, and chances are you won’t see her right away. This beautiful calico lady spent her whole life outdoors, until she developed hyperthyroidism and could no longer stay in her colony. The transition to Tabby’s Place has understandably been overwhelming, and she spends most of her daylight hours hidden in her favorite cubby. But when the lights go off and the humans leave, Phoebe bravely comes out to explore.
Happily, Phoebe is slowly learning to trust us. She requires daily medication administered as a gel on her ear, which she is very well behaved for. Could it be that indoor life – with its abundant treats and cozy nests – isn’t so scary after all?
Phoebe will need a very patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. With her history as a colony cat, Phoebe gets along well with others and would do well in a home with easygoing feline friends.
Phoebe is looking for a quiet home in which to spend her golden years. If that could be with you, fill out an adoption questionnaire today!
